Signup form is working again

I am happy to announce that the signup form on our Website is now working again. So if you want to learn more about becoming a Beta tester for Quick Key, you can sign up through the form, here. Just go to the site and click on the button at the bottom of the page.

Thanks to all who took the time to watch our video. And especially to those who could get their mind off Duggie's* chillaxed lifestyle and onto the matter at hand: educators taking action and creating the power to teach!

Trouble signing up to learn about Beta Testing?

Thank you to Justin and the Reddit community! We never expected to get this kind of response to our video on You Tube.

And now that so many people are signing up on our website to learn more about becoming a Beta tester, our little server is crashing. We are so sorry if you are having trouble with our Web form. Please try it again in a little bit...if you tried to sign up during a spike in traffic you might have had trouble.

In the meantime, we will be able to find you and send you info about becoming a Beta Tester if you subscribe to our list here on the blog. OR, you can sign up to the Teacher's Round Table on Facebook. If you sign up to join the Round Table, it will send you info to Walter, and he can follow up with you.

You can track our video on Reddit here:

And follow Walter on Twitter at @4_teachers.

thanks for bearing with us.

Real Talk on the Teacher's Round Table

Since last summer, DBE co-founder Walter Duncan has been hosting a vibrant discussion on a Facebook group he founded, called the Teacher's Round Table.

It's an open group - anybody can join - but those who will get the most out of the discussion are forward-thinking K-12 teachers.

So if you're a K-12 teacher and you have something to say, or just want to vent, visit the TRT and leave a comment. And while you're there, why not take a look at what passionate teachers from around the world are talking about.

Our Prototype is Ready for Action!

I am happy to announce that the prototype of Quick Key is complete, and it works great!  Special thanks to Seth, Dorothy, and the rest of the Rocket Farm team: you did it!

It was no small thing to build a scanner that worked not only quickly and consistently, but did so for first-time users, under any lighting conditions. But Rocket Farm Studios worked with us until the job was done, and the result is a robust, accurate, and - above all - fast scanner that can grade a stack of 20 quizzes in just under a minute.

Let the games begin!
